Job Location: Chennai, India

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure accurate posting of medical payments to patient accounts

  • Oversee the processing of insurance claims denials, appeals, and Interpreting and acting on client communications

  • Track, assess and resolve client communications

  • Respond to queries, billing clarifications, verifying the receipt of patient registration information, and notify coding team of any potential coding errors

  • Responsible for achieving team’s performance standards (KPIs and SLAs)

  • Work on additional tasks that may be assigned from time to time

  • Set overall goals for team and individual goals for team members

  • Train the team members on the medical billing processes, provide directions for complex transactions, update and document process changes, and identify training requirements

  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

  • Responsible for supervising the team with respect to performance monitoring and reviews, appraisal processing, and rewards and recognitions

  • Efficient and effective management of budgets, revenue, and Profit-Loss account

  • Ensure HIPAA compliance

  • Assist the manager in client expansion and revenue improvement

  • Experience in working with large databases and managing large data files

  • Monitor the issue logs raised by the client partners and review each issue log prior to being escalated to the customer

  • Manage and handle escalations raised by the clients effectively

  • Researching/pricing claims including inaccurate payments

  • Keep the Standard Operating Procedures updated and establish due control mechanisms

  • Work with quality and business transformation team to identify, recommend and implement process improvement projects

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the following qualification criteria:

  • 5 to 10 years of Medical Billing (Payment Posting) delivery management experience

  • Expertise in handling medical equipment billing

  • Researching/pricing claims including inaccurate payments

  • Graduation in any Science Stream.

  • Account team leadership experience leading 50+ individuals

  • Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving and revenue cycle transformation (for e.g. improvement in % of collections, growth of the client account team size etc.)

  • Performance record of achievement with great people management & leadership skills

  • Strong knowledge of US revenue cycle management for Physician Practices and Hospitals

  • Proven track record in problem solving and improving process efficiency through strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports

  • Develop the team's talent, drive employee retention and engagement
