The Position

The chosen individual will develop, update and manage content on the learning management system. This is a techno-functional role and requires extensive liaison with information technology and marketing teams.

Job Location: Chennai, India

Job Description

  • Develop and present computer-based training to a diverse audience via the learning management system

    • Design & develop general or specific training modules, training communication, articles, videos and other content

    • Collaborate Subject Matter Experts from client and internal teams to build the training content

    • Assist in research and delivery of timely, relevant and cost-effective content in accordance with program objectives.

  • Consult with operations and functional leaders to analyse business processes and support technology needs; coordinate multiple projects concurrently and work with a minimum supervision

  • Adept in Learning Management Systems

    • Develop training materials using varied authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Premier, HP ART, Biteable, and Videoscribe

  • Create an ecosystem of automated processes

    • Ensure all requisite documentation is collected while monitoring training effectiveness and employee progress

  • Support design and development of new tools and personal or organizational development ideas in the training space

  • Evaluate emerging training technology and tools

Knowledge and Skills

To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the following qualification criteria:

  • Proficient in using authoring tools such as Learn Exact, Articulate, Captivate and Lectora

  • Should possess Knowledge & experience of using variety of learning methodologies and strategies like scenario-based learning, game-based learning, simulated learning, rapid elearning, blended learning, game-based assessments, digital books, and other innovative approaches to ensure effective learning and retention

  • Knowledge of: Learning techniques; database retrieval tools; web development tools and languages (JAVA, HTML, CSS); instructional design concepts for computer-based training.

  • Excellent communications and writing skills

  • Good listening skills

  • Ability to transform the complex data into a much more understandable or user-friendly format

  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)

  • Fairly good knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Macromedia flash, MS- FrontPage etc would be of benefit in this profession.

  • Multitasking abilities & project management skills

  • Ability to work independently, Self-taught learner willing to read and keep up-to-date on technological changes

  • Should possess behavioural training including, but not limited to

  • Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, journalism or Mass Media and Communications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience
