Assistant Vice President - Talent Acquisition

THE POSITION:

This is a senior leadership role, where the candidate will be directly responsible for all aspects of talent acquisition, from setting up sustainable process frameworks to leading recruitment campaigns to meet aggressive recruiting targets.

He/she must be able to build and manage a strong talent pipeline that is continuously capable of filling open positions at short notice. Apart from enhancing current sourcing channels, the leader will be expected to introduce new channels and help in optimizing the resource mix of the company and reduce the cost of hiring.

WORK LOCATION: CHENNAI INDIA

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruitment Strategies

    • Work closely with functional heads to understand recruitment demands and skills availability in specific areas of responsibility

    • Implement recruitment policies, measure productivity effectiveness, and set recruitment goals for the function

    • Prepare annual forecasting and resource planning

    • Standardize recruitment practice across all the locations in India

    • End to end management of recruitment budgets

  • Recruitment Operations Management

    • End-to-end recruitment life-cycle management covering new project requirements and on-going hiring needs

    • Continuously review and evaluate the performance of current recruitment channels and constantly review the new trends in the market

    • Identify qualified external recruitment events and ensure targets are met at the optimal cost

    • Identify gaps in the process, new process formulations, and deliver continuous process improvements

    • Establish a standard tracking process for candidate’s inflow from various channels, measure and manage the progress

    • Suggest technical improvements and coordinate with internal IT team to implement those improvements in the recruitment applications

    • Identify ways to reduce recruitment spend, increase productivity, and improve overall recruitment performance

  • Team Management

    • Set recruitment goals, individual targets, monitor performance, review KPIs and determine training requirements

    • Develop and implement plans to drive recruitment productivity improvements to enable the team to deliver results to meet the growing business needs

    • Manage ad-hoc project requirements that include quick project ramp-ups, setting up new delivery centers, and other hiring needs

  • Other responsibilities

    • Responsible for post-offer management

    • Participate in client visit, leadership review meetings, functional reviews, and business meetings

    • Single point of contact for designated candidates for all recruitment related concerns

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Hands on experience in various types of recruitment strategies and activities

  • Expertise in large volume recruitment strategies against aggressive targets

  • Familiarity with PAN India markets for recruitment, and able to provide strategic and tactical guidance to teams of recruiters for optimal hiring

  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, project management, and people management skills

  • Strong in recruitment analytics and insightful reporting

Qualification

  • Post Graduate with over 15 years of experience in recruitment, preferably with front-line hiring in an ITeS/BPO organization

  • Familiar with high volume hiring (500 associates with month) and managing a team of 20+ recruiters on a PAN India basis

  • Experience leveraging as well as organizing hiring events for large volume pipeline building and hiring

TRAVEL:

  • 50% to 60% Travel to other delivery centers pan India
