Work Location: Chennai

The Position

The Manager for corporate communications will be responsible for managing internal and external communications to effectively communicate organizational initiatives. He/She will work with our Chief Marketing Officer to develop communications plans, processes.

Additionally, the chosen individual will support organization’s brand building across social media platforms- Facebook, Instagram, and twitter to enable the achievement of business goals.

 This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Internal Communications Plan

    • Working with various functional leaders and mid-level managers to gather communication requirements

    • Effective planning and management of internal communication schedule

    • Responsive to stakeholders about the status and progress of their communication requirements

    • Develop communications – messages and design effective communications

    • Responsible for facility branding across our facilities

    • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent across different locations and are in line with external communication messages

    • Effective management of internal communications during crisis and emergency situations which may affect business-as-usual

    • Interaction with senior management to understand the requirements during organizational initiatives and projects

    • Work closely with the HR team to deliver internal communication messages that support the design and delivery of engagement messages, coordination for engagement activities, and support online employee forum

  • Content Management

    • Write and edit content for a variety of internal communications messages across the departments

    • Storyboard the content or translate ideas to the graphic designers for creation of compelling graphics

    • Create presentations for internal organizational events such as Town Hall meetings etc

    • Maintain knowledge repository with proper categorization of internal communication messages

  • External Communication

    • Work with the organization’s leadership to draft press releases, website content as necessary

  • Social Media Management

    • Design and implement social strategy to support organizational brand building and recruitment programs

    • Set objectives for Facebook campaign and measure achievements of target and ROI

    • Write, edit, and share engaging content for regular posting on Facebook

    • Posting of job opportunities on Facebook jobs

    • Collaborate with followers and respond to their queries in a timely manner

    • Monitor reviews posted on Facebook

    • Research and implement new features to develop brand awareness, promotions, and company positioning

    • Keep abreast with current trends in Facebook platform

  • People Management

    • Ensure the engagement of internal communication team members in the implementation of new initiatives, communication strategy, and projects

    • Provide directions to the team and support internal communications messaging and best practices

    • Act as the point of contact for communication management as well as issue management

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to deliver corporate communications and social media messages is a prerequisite for the role

  • Ability to align with organizational goals and values and the ability to demonstrate to employees through effective messaging

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building to work with the HR department and other functions

  • Ability to understand the tool and the trending technologies

  • Knowledge of social media platforms.

  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword usage, and the ability to understand and interpret Facebook analytics will be considered a plus.

  • Ability to understand and interpret complex information and to present in a clear and concise messaging

  • Accountable for team member’s performance

  • Responsible to meet deadlines and achieve the objectives of the internal communication function.

  • Ability to handle global or multi-location stakeholders and ad-hoc requests.

  • Possess excellent leadership, analytical, project management, and people management skills

  • Demonstrate high integrity and provide attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • A degree in communications or mass media or English literature

  • Strong knowledge of web designs

  • Demonstrated track record of working with designers

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to develop effective communication plans.
