Job Requirements

The EDI engineer will be responsible to analyze and organize the data as per the standard formats used in EDI applications, interfaces, and mappings.

  • Development of EDI initiatives

    • Analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications for developing EDI initiatives

    • Research and incorporate third party’s technical, functional and QA related requirements to EDI projects

    • Extracting, synthesizing, and analyzing data

  • Testing of EDI Initiatives

    • Utilize standard testing methods, tools, and procedures to perform effective testing of EDI initiatives

    • Design and create test scripts for various testing requirements

    • Ensure version control and configuration management for all test cases and objects developed

    • Responsible to execute manual test cases

  • Issue Management

    • Monitor, detect and resolve data integration issues

    • Track issue trends to identify and address the root cause

    • Manage internal and external escalations related to integrations

  • Project Management

    • Responsible to manage high volume projects and tasks

    • Understand customer healthcare transactions to identify operational deficiencies and process breakdowns

    • Contribute to new solution design and development

    • Collaborate with the customer and internal stakeholders to develop new solutions and ensure ongoing communication with technical stakeholders including trading partners

    • Diagnosing, analyzing, and resolving issues related to EDI operations in the project

    • Change management coordination and support

    • Support in new hire training and monitoring of tasks performed


  • Strong experience in working with Payer-related domain and in specific 835 and 837

  • Experience in EDI processing and monitoring tools and to manage exceptions

  • Ability to interact with integration partners and internal stakeholders

  • Knowledge of networking protocols and EDI standards as defined by HiTrust and HIPAA

  • Experience in troubleshooting, testing, and coordination in an integration scenario is preferable

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in Software Development Lifecycle Management and strong project management skills

  • Exposure to US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management is mandatory


  • 4 to 5 years of experience in EDI development, monitoring, and testing

  • Experience in manual testing and other testing tools

  • Graduate in Engineering, science, or commerce streams
